96 - 8 = 88 - 8 = 80

That's eldest sis to second sis to my TER.

Devastated, very devastated.

When I was slacking in the beginning of the year due to that idiot punye case, Daddy kept reminding me "universities chooses you, not you choose them".

Though I didn't take that very lightly at first, after my what-so-ever results came out that time, I knew I must put in more effort into my studies cuz I'm not the smart ass brain type.

And so I did. I prepared for my finals one month before the actual date and because I could barely pass my chemistry and not wanting to disappoint Pn Mahani, I started doing revision for chemistry and I even listened to her advice of doing my own summary of notes. I did it everyday for a couple of hours at least! Was really proud of myself that I actually finished the summary as planned.

I studied my notes over and over again, memorizing as I revised and took time off in between just to make sure I don't over stress my brain and I make myself remember what I memorized during that time off.

I did past year papers for all subjects. I finished it all. I answered every single damn question printed on the papers.

Everything went well for ESL and Physics, Maths was alright and when it comes to Biology and Chemistry, I felt it was as though I knocked my head very badly on the wall and suffered from memory lost as soon as I entered the examination hall and took my seat.

At 7am sharp on 19th December, I jumped out of bed as soon as I shut my alarm. No snoozing, nothing. Went online, logged in to SSABSA website and all I saw was a big fat 80.85 for my TER. 80.85 people. It is a blardy 80.85. Feeling so blur and depressed, I didn't bother to take another look at it to double confirm it was 80.85. I logged off immediately and stoned on my chair.

When I went back to my bed, I was praying very hard that it wasn't an 8 that I saw, but a 9.

What more could I do now? I expected at least a blardy 90 or maybe 89 or perhaps just 88? I felt so blardy disappointed. I felt so lost, the worse feeling in my life so far. I felt far more terrible than when I received my SPM results, which I could only blame myself for not having a better memory space for books!

I don't have the confidence that UWA will accept me based on my TER and choice of courses. Basically, the minimum for UWA is 80, and even with 80, I can't even enroll for the courses of my choice. With 80, I can only do things like Econs and Music.

Then, I applied for Curtin and Murdoch. Engineering and Science in Curtin, Engineering & Commerce and Science in Murdoch.

If I'm not accepted in UWA, I will study in Curtin for a year, work my ass off and apply for a transfer to UWA. This is my one and only choice. Worse come to worse, I will be in Murdoch, which requires very low TER. A TER of 65 is enough to study a double degree of Engi & Commerce, which is about TER 90 in UWA. Sigh. Whatever it is, I will work harder to earn an entry to UWA!

But for now,

I blame myself for not taking things seriously in the beginning which caused my internal marks to be low.

I blame myself for not practicing healthy lifestyle for better memory.

I blame myself to have exam phobia.

I blame myself for insisting on taking 3 major science subject even when the counselor don't encourage me to.

I blame myself for getting hooked onto the internet 24-7.

I blame myself for not making full use of my holiday time to brush up on my studies, like daddy wanted me to.

I blame myself for not listening to advices.

I blame myself for not appreciating daddy's hard earned money to send me to Taylor's, the money sucking college.

I blame myself for taking things for granted.

I blame myself for believing that I'm always lucky since the day I was born.

I blame myself for believing in miracles still.

I blame myself for blaming myself wtf.

So here I am, telling everyone that I have 80.85 only for TER. I want everyone to know how low my mark is. I want everyone to know so that I will feel ashamed and embarrassed of my marks. Yes, I'm using psychology to do the trick. I'm all about psychology these days, probably due to my psycho student sis is back home.

Turning over a new leave.

Destination : Bali, Indonesia.

My long awaited trip to Bali came and left. Suet and I started planning and calling everyone since middle of the year. Though many people were interested, the cost ie money pulled everyone out, except for us, Suet Yi and her tall and hot looking younger *sad face* brother Kar Heng, Pui Man, Ze Lek, Melissa "Ashley" and her family, and myself!

no we didn't fly in this plane, we saw it.

The details ::

Date : 9th-12th Dec

Airline : AirAsia *duh. cheapest flight around*

Comfortable-ness rating : Sux to the max. That's why its cheap. No leg space. Landing in Bali was very very very smooth. *thumbs up* But landing in KL was horrible indeed. *boo ya!*

Starting off by introducing the hotel we stayed at.
The Hotel : Santika Beach Resort, Kuta. *santika = beauty*

the drink.

We were welcomed with a warm and inviting smile at the hotel lobby. They are extremely friendly. They served us a cup of drink *as above* which I don't know what is it but it is a thirst quenching one, and a towel to refresh ourselves. Aunt Zarina, Melissa's mother *which I will address her as Aunt Z for short* gave us "asam" sweets to chew on, which I suppose the hotel management people gave her. Not bad for a 4 star hotel.

Our *Man, Ze and I* room.

Very nice, very clean, and most important of all, very comfortable and cozy.

We tipped the 2 guys who brought in an extra bed to our room. We simply gave them 10k rupiah = approx RM4. We didn't know if we were too generous or too stingy because they were smiling and showed how happy they were to receive it. And while they set everything up, they talked to us, very friendly and we replied cheerfully. This is something you don't get very often in Malaysia.

Overlooking the pool.

this flower can be found at every corner of Bali.

Day 01
The moment we stepped out of the aircraft, we could feel the humidity eating our skins up. The weather is worse than KL. The immigration people are wayyyyyyy too loyal to their country. They don't just look at your faces, stamp your passport and hand it back to you. They simply ask many questions, especially at a foreigner in my line. Is it an issue of loyalty or are they just being talkative friendly?

"Mr Goh Kar Heng" was the "paper board" we looked out for. Our local tour guide immediately introduced himself as Kumang or Koumang and Toumang? We simply called him Jim. *sorry for the name. I simply couldn't get what you were saying!* And the driver's name is Putu. We were like "What? Putu?" and started laughing. Thinking that we didn't get his name, Jim repeated his name and spelled P-U-T-U. We laughed even harder this time.

candid of Man.

After settling down, we had a 15 minutes walk or less to the nearest shopping mall. Can't remember the name now but there's Sogo and Krispy Kreme and Starbucks and A&W. *yum yum* Had a very quick and light "lunch" at 4pm and walked around till almost 5.30pm. Then we got ready for dinner at a Balinese's Chinese restaurant.

We were expecting real Bali food by the way. But nice interior, except for the air conditioners. They were placed at an angle where you can't feel the coolness at all. And they use spotlights everywhere. Not even a stand fan at least. Uncle Chan, Mel's father *Unc C* was sweating till he didn't feel like eating anymore.

After dinner, we told Jim to drop us at a shopping mall near Hard Rock Cafe. That street is filled with shops inside out. Fake branded stuff also got. We walked around aimlessly until it was almost time to WALK back to the hotel. Approx 20 minutes of walking! Not that I'm complaining 'cuz exercise is all I need! But I can't believe that we actually walk so much on the 1st day itself.

But so what. 'Cuz we walked pass the shopping mall near our hotel and decided to stop and have a drink at Starbucks while eating Krispy Kreme's doughnuts. There goes the thoughts of burning fats and oils by extensive walking and sweating. *faint*

this is a tourist attraction. I pity the horse *mule* for standing like that all day without rest or proper care and food.

Suet and our donuts. awesome!

I had a chocolate coated with nuts doughnut. OMG that is the best doughnut I've ever tasted! It's so rich in chocolate and its coated with a generous amount of nuts! There's even more melted chocolate on the inside! It is SINFULLY GOOD.

Kar Heng was like "Wah, all chocolate only. *shakes head* Your favourite la hor. Fattening ah!" teasing me obviously. =p But like what I always say, fattening food are my food. *lalala*

**Regretted not buying Krispy Kreme home**

I present you the hottie, Kar Heng.

By the time we got back to our hotel, we were so dead. Luckily I brought the sandals for rough wear wan. So my feet didn't hurt at all. =)

Day 02
Ze's alarm rang at 7am but as usual I didn't wake up at 7 sharp. Had breakfast in the hotel. A combination of western breakfast and Bali food. Rice, curry and all. I chose western or else Bali's will be too full and oily for the start of the day. Had omelette, fruits, grilled potatoes and orange juice. Enough to keep me full for a couple of hours.

Tour begun at 8.30am.

she fell asleep the minute we got up our comfy van.

We went to a mini stage studio for a cultural dance/act/performance regarding their history.

While waiting,

Man and I.

Kar Heng and Suet. The sepets.

Melissa "Ashley".

The hottie I took for Suet to admire. Too bad, can't see his face.

Minutes after the act started, Suet and Unc C were fast asleep. Luckily they didn't snore. Haha!

The "band"

Monkey wants banana? Monkey wants banana?

Then came an obscene scene, that was so ridiculously obscene that i hid my head behind Man most of the time. Had the audience laughing though.

*this picture is for Suet to see. this is one of two obscene acts*

I would say that this *look below* is one of the stupidest thing they ever did.
trying to kill yourself with plastics aye? let me help by giving you real metals!

We traveled again to this batik thingy where you get to see people "draw" batiks.

hot wax.

the art.

the hand "machine"

Now i know exactly why genuine batik is soooooo soooooooo costly.

Kar Heng, Man, Mel.

showing off our shades.

After an hour of journey, we arrived at Mount Batur for lunch. The restaurants at this particular mountain is always overlooking "something".

We had lunch *buffet style* at this restaurant which overlooks the active volcano. Only the fried bananas are tasty. Our table totally sapu the whole tray and told them to fry more. Then when it was ready they served it to us without even asking.

We had a fun time arguing if the pool of water on the right of this picture is a lake or sea. Everyone said its a lake. Smart ass me said it is a sea *I totally forgotten Mount Batur is in the middle of Bali* Aunt Z asked a waitress and she said it's a danau! *faint*

Passion fruit. I ate the fruit I use to bathe! *Passion fruit body soap can be found at all Body Shop outlets* Totally smells the same!

First time eating this fruit. You have to bite or swallow the seeds. That's how you eat it. Weird but eye opening.

the skin.

Of course we took a couple of shots before returning although it was drizzling a lil.

They dropped us at this market, meant for their own people to shop. They actually wanted to bring us to the higher end markets, mainly for tourists. So the price also for sure tourists price wan la. So we settled for the smaller market for locals. The vendors there really pull customers to their shop like prostitutes look for men. It was that bad. And if you walk away when they give you a certain price, they eventually call you back and sell it at the price you offer them. It's always a matter of psychology.

Then then then. Guess where we went next!

Bali's traditional massage!!
them.

I.me.

The experience? A HORRIFYING-ly good one! We were assigned 2 to a room. Before we enter the rooms, they scrubbed our feet with salt and washed with flower water. *flower water cuz the pail of water was filled with flower petals*

I was in the same room as Ze. We were told to strip naked wearing only their disposable undies and lie flat, face down. I chose lavender oil while she had rose. That striping thing nevermind la. Cuz we told each other not to look at each other.

Then when the lady massaged my legs, she went all the way up! touching my ass sometimes. I was like heyy! My ass is not for you to touch! Nevermind that. It was so ticklish for me. My body was kinda tense cuz I was trying not to laugh?

Next up. The hands. Was okay. Until she told me to turn over! I was like huh? Turn over? Means they can see all! So i turned over carefully! Massage massage massage already, SUDDENLY SHE PULLED THE TOWEL USED TO COVER MY BODY. Which means. MY BOOBIES WERE EXPOSED TO THEM. I was like WHAT THE FUCK/HELL/SHIT. My eyes and mouth were wide opened! I was like "gone lo. gone lo. everything also gone lo"

Then Aunt Z was like "Why so scared. They also have wert. Just the shape, size, and colour different only mah."

But still! I................. haiz. Everyone else was like okay with it but I wasn't.

Next stop. Dinner by the beach.

what a romantic dinner.

candle light dinner.

We had a long table, with 2 candles. When the drinks came, we complained that it was too dark. So we told them to bring another candle for us. When the food came, we couldn't see what we were eating! So Kar Heng went over to the next table to take another candle to "shine" at the food.

juice. I think.

everyone had one of this. not sweet though. and its old.

Then came our soup. Cooked with lotsa flour, that's why its starchy. There's fish and can't remember what else. Hehe.

Next, was our main meal. The funniest part during dinner. The waiter placed a "basket" of food on our table. All of us starred at it, and I asked why didn't they serve any plates for us to share? As Aunt Z was about to ask the waiters for plates for everyone, more waiters came with these "baskets" in their hands. We were so shocked seeing them serve us with more and more baskets, serving each person with one basket. When asked, they said "Oh, one basket for one person". We fainted.

one whole fish, one whole crab, 2 cockles and 3 prawns. All grilled to perfection, served with rice and absolutely yummy different type of sauces.

sorry the picture's blur cuz of the light behind.

Kar Heng said I'm a poser cuz he saw me pose for the camera twice. and yes I'm not afraid to admit! some pictures just look boring without any BASIC posing.

I say that they're a perfect match.

Though the food looks very filling, it is actually nothing! We were feeling hungry after that. After some walking at yet again the same shopping mall, cuz Aunt Z wanted to buy donuts, we went to this Italian restaurant, Il Cielo, situated just opposite our hotel for late night supper.

I so love the interior/deco. very cozy.

my 9k rupiah cioccolato gelato. made in Bali.

Kar Heng's pasta.

Funghi pizza.

Suet's margarita and Man's long beach.

Surprisingly, even after 15% of tax and service charge, the price is reasonable for such an environment to dine at and costs cheaper than KL.

At close to 11pm, the girls gone wild that they wanted to go swimming, konnonya. I didn't want to go at first, thinking that while they get wet and wild down at the pool, I can bathe first cuz I take a very very very long time to bathe on days I wash my hair. *I don't bathe quick and I don't wash my hair everyday cuz its too dry*

Then they persuaded me and eventually I joined their wet and wild plan. We tried not to wake Aunt Z and Unc C up, afraid that they will scold us? But no matter how hard we tried, we can't, ookay fine. I can't seem to keep my voice down. The hilarious moments at the pool. And Suet is one horny girl.

Day 03
We scraped off temple visiting in the morning to accommodate our beach activities. Arrived at Nusa Dua at around 9.30pm. Unc C negotiated the price for us. Paid about less than RM100 for banana boat and flying fish. Wanted to go on parasailing but because they were having the global warming press conference in Bali, they had to suspend parasailing cuz many helicopters will be hovering around.

First time sitting banana boat. Fell twice. Once in deep sea, once towards land. Swallowed lots of sea water! Had trouble getting up the boat itself. Pulled from up, pushed by down. Still cant get up. Finally, I managed to bring my leg up but I don't know who did I kicked for support to bring my leg up. Haha. Sorry! It was fun though.

Flying fish. A game for two. You lay flat on their big floats, floats tied to speed boats, speed boats speed, when there's wind and facing the right direction, the coach, standing in the center, helps lift the float up bit by bit. And tada! You're practically standing on air! Meters away from the sea! Totally amazing! The coach is friendly too. Allowed us to sit up when we were not "flying".

Sea water was really really salty. Saltier than ours.

All that ended an hour later. We bathe in public. Not naked of course. We bathe in swim suits, shirts and shorts. The Japs bathe in bikinis. Obviously guys were looking at them. I smartly said that we girls don't have to worry how awful we look now cuz they have something else to look at. Which is so true! But they still disturbed me when I walked back to take my shampoo and body soap. JACKASS.

On the way to our lunch place, which is about one and a half hour journey from Nusa Dua, we came across this warehouse sale! Well it's not really a warehouse sale. We saw huge signs showing "up to 70% discounts" and told Putu to stop immediately. When we got there, only rip curl and don't know what brand was having clearance sale. The shop we entered was Quicksilver. So it was only a 30-40% discount on beach pants. Bought 2 though. After less was about RM70 each. Wayyyyy cheaper than KL. Spent so much time there that the driver has to speed to the mountain.

Had buffet lunch again. Nothing fantastic.
The lake nearby.

Favourite shot.

he kept taking pics of people sleeping so I took one of him sleeping. Haha. Boo ya!

Went to a market down the hill to do some shopping. Vendors here weren't as crazy as we saw yesterday.

Went to Tanah Lot's temple. Saw this *look below*

now you see me

now you don't. =p

Mel's family picture.

candid and loving it. Mel, you look like a small kid!

The place is huge! Magnificent view of the beach during high tide.

The scenaries only. Took so many shots that I couldn't choose which to show so I selected the few food ones. =)))

The temple is on the right.

Don't you just love sunsets?

Didn't step into the temple. Didn't stay long enough till sun really sets. Everybody just wanted to shop. Sigh..

Dinner at a local Chinese restaurant again. Food all kinda spicy this time. The fish they served was river fish and of course river fish has one taste. So uncle complained which I didn't quite like one particular sentence. I'm sure everyone agrees with me. I wasn't listening to what they were saying but that particular word caught my attention? It was really too much.

After putting all the bags in the hotel, all of us except Unc C went out to have a walk and shopped again. Bought more stuff. Went for late night supper at Il Cielo again! Ordered the same thing again. Ice lemon tea wasn't nice. Bought a glass coke bottle for Julz to add to her collection. Charged me like 20 cents or less just because I took the bottle away.

Went swimming at midnight! This time with Mel. 5 crazy girls having fun in the pool with Suet enjoying her alcohol. =.=

Day 04
Woke up later and later each day. More shopping and photo taking of the hotel after breakfast. Everyone tried to finish their remaining rupiah currency. Wacoal bras are much much much cheaper than in KL. Their new arrivals without discount is equivalent to our special offer/sale. =.= When it was time, we packed packed packed and off to the airport. Bought a miniature coke glass bottle in the airport lounge itself, a RM5 mineral water and cheaper mineral water. End up have to surrender it all at the scanning hand carry baggages counter. FUCKERS!

I spent a total of RM500 on shopping, but the massage itself and the beach rides cost almost RM200 already. Then the quicksilver pants lo. Other than that, things were pretty cheap. Was bored seeing everyone selling the same thing. Don't like the idea of traveling long distance on land. Toilet water taste very salty too. And so was the swimming pool water. But maybe because of the salt = kills bacteria, my face wasn't bad at all. But its always the sun that makes it worse.

One day, I will return to Bali. Staying up North this time. Just relaxing on the beach, reading a good book, enjoying the company of hot ang mohs. And a massage plus spa facing the beach. Hotel bathroom with a big bath tub over looking the beach. *sounds like a honeymoon room* No shopping. No traveling. Just the book, the beach, the sun, the wave, the ang mohs, and I.

More pixy with Suet, Man, and Mel. I will get my hands on them soon I hope.

-The End-
